Demi does seem somewhat embarrassed about what Jessica is saying. Maybe he had to grown to see women within his society to be sexual objects in some ways, but he has shown to still have mutual respect for them too. Despite all the objectifications and erotic tropes used over various media about genies, I still see them as people that deserve equality like any other mythical race.
